"My family and myself recently stayed for a week at the federation lodge in Windermere. I believe we were the first people to use the lodge and I would like to thank you for the welcome that was left for us. It was greatly appreciated that someone had taken the time to leave a handwritten welcome card for us and a bottle of wine.
I would also like to take the opportunity to recommend the lodge to members, the lodge itself is furnished and decorated to a very high standard and provided very comfortable accommodation and is extremely well equipped.
My children ( age 2, 7, 14 ) really enjoyed their stay at the lodge and again I was impressed to find that a selection of games and DVDs had been provided in the lodge.
The site itself is in an excellent location right on the shores of Lake Windermere, and is clean and well maintained and child friendly. There is a swimming pool and gym in the clubhouse. In addition to the leisure facilities there is a bar and restaurant - I cannot comment on the quality of food as we did not use the restaurant during our stay, but the bar is clean and well run.
In conclusion I would like to thank the federation for providing the lodge for the use of members - we were so impressed I have already booked another week stay for next year!"
