Ballot on Shifts - Results following Extraordinary JBB Meeting

At an Extraordinary meeting of Northumbria Police Federation Joint Branch Board held on Thursday 22 January 2009 regarding the proposed NBM/CID/ASG Voluntary Shift Agreement, the Board made the decision to accept the ballot results, with the proviso that, as the NBM vote achieved over 80% in favour of the VSA, the Joint Branch Board will enter into a new Voluntary Shift Agreement for NBMs only.

The Board accepted that the ASG and CID did not achieve the required 80% majority and are therefore not prepared to enter into a new Voluntary Shift Agreement in respect of these two disciplines.
