PNB Staff Side Meeting 12 June 2008
This afternoon the Staff Side of the Police Negotiating Board held a meeting together with legal representatives to discuss the outcome of the Judicial Review, the option of registering an Appeal and possible future action in the 'Fair Play for Police' campaign.
There was recognition amongst Staff Side that all UK police officers are still extremely angry and bitter about the way they have been treated by this government in the last pay round.
During next week there is a PNB Pay Working Group meeting, and a Police Arbitration Tribunal hearing in respect of the 'level playing field' issue raised during the 2007/08 pay negotiations.
As a result of a number of considerations Staff Side have decided to defer the decision as to whether to Appeal the result of the Judicial Review and the decision will be made in respect of the Appeal within the 14 days allowed.
